Black-on-black Air Force 1′s have been done and redone a number of times. However, this is the first time a black-on-black Air Force 1 has ever been constructed with scuff proof material. In fact, it’s a first for the shoe in it’s 28-year history. It gives you the ultimate in protection and ensures the sneakers stay that way right from the moment you take em outta the box. Similar to Timberland’s patented Ever-Guard material used to build their scuff proof boots, this Air Force 1 is partially made up from a extra durable and tough as nails leather which has a lot more abrasion resistance than traditional leather. The grainy scuff proof material is applied around the toe and on the midfoot, Swoosh and heel, while the remainder of the upper is constructed from traditional black leather. They weren’t expected to release until October, but if you’re looking to get a pair now you can do so through Finish Line for $98
