Official Release Info and Images of the 2011 Nike Mag aka “Marty McFly”

The 2011 Nike Air Mag is said to be Nike’s first rechargeable sneaker and is designed as an exact replica of the pair Marty wore in Back to the Future II. However, the shoes will not tie themselves like in the movie.

That version is still slated for 2015. The shoes feature a bright LED panel and electroluminescent Nike branding. Slight changes, such as additional foam in the ankle and forefoot, have been put into place to improve comfort. The 2011 NIKE MAG illuminates with the pinch of the “ear” of the high top, glowing for five hours per charge.
